dunnhumby 2020 Booth Concept & Design

At dunnhumby, I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to upgrade the visual concept for their trade show booth. Stakeholders offered feedback directing the focus away from nicely cropped stock photography, and towards a more engaging conversation that showcased a users journey, and how dunnhumby’s involvement enhanced this experience at key steps along the way.

Concept: A data-reinforced timeline promoting client engagement.

We wanted to showcase not only the level of insight that dunnhumby possesses regarding the details of the shoppers and their experience, but how dunnhumby’s involvement enhanced this experience.

We generated a timeline that visualized the shopping lifespan of two shoppers in retail.

Esthetically this was a bit of a challenge as the image needed to span across multiple panels, each of which were different in height and wrapping around the outside of the booth.

The journey comes to an end as trade show attendees approached the entrance of the booth where dunnhumby staff were ready to answer questions.

We saw an increase of 340% in attendee inquiries, and by the end of the month the downloadable materials available to attendees had tripled previous records, surpassing any expectations of the stakeholders.

Future iterations of the booth were to include more interactive elements including QR codes that would link to social media materials and other sales opportunities. We also had potentially planned for augmented reality functionality (based on industry trends and the likelihood of attendees understanding the functionality).
